Non-weighted sterling and silver plate hollowware such as candlesticks, bowls, vases and coffee tea sets that do not have any weighted fill in them. These items may have a base metal of copper or brass. The restoration is the same as filled silver except non-weighted hollowware is usually made of a thicker metal so it can withstand more without the support of weighted fill.
Silver plated biscuit barrel composed of tin and bismuth. The silver plate is soft, and the lid has broken from continuous over extension. To restore we reinforces the hinge from the interior for strength and soldered the lid in place.
Coin silver wedding goblets, bent and broken and needed quickly for an upcoming wedding. Our usual turnaround is 12 to 16 weeks, but we meet a special request when we can. This goblet set we removed the dents, straightened and polished.
Sterling bible cover that was lacquered, split, and broken in pieces. First we remove old repairs and lacquer. We straightened the frame. All the parts were soldered then polished to pull up the luster.
