Cleaning, Polishing and Plating all have a place in metal restoration. What is important is knowing when you need cleaning, polishing or re-plating. It is often possible that you can do the cleaning at home with the proper products, if you like to do that sort of thing, some people do, and some do not. Sometimes your item needs more, and it is time to call on the professional. It’s possible to sponge plated small areas with silver loss and gold plate cup interiors.

Sterling ornaments, damaged by improper cleaning. We decontaminated, and flushed out the old cleaning solution locked on the inside of the ornaments. The detail was cleaned and the ornaments polished bright.

Pewter tea set that was passed down to the next generation. The tea set was straightened and cleaned. The set was finished in a brush satin finish.

Brass candelabra, we removed the lacquer that had yellowed over time. We machine polished to pull up a bright luster and lacquered to preserve the finish.
